Description: Wallisia Cyanea is often referred to as "Pink Quill" for obvious reasons. It is native to the forests of Ecuador where the plant grows epiphytically (on trees and shrubs). In it's natural habitat it grows in hot temperatures and full sun. The plant has many long, grass like, dark green leaves. The inflorescence is long lasting - it shoots out from the top of the plant and is a bright pink colour. From this stunning paddle like inflorescence comes brilliant blue / purple flowers. We have found this species enjoys frequent watering and slightly more shade than other Tillandsia. It dries out quickly so we recommend potting it in a small pot with a well draining potting mix.
