Tillandsias with a very wide range across Mexico, Central and South America as well as the West Indies. There's even a form found here in Florida. With its long needle-like leaves, this species is especially attractive arranged with other tillandsias in groupings. A fast and hardy grower, this plant multiplies into tight clumps or even balls when hung from a wire. This cultivar can get quite large averaging from 12" -16" tall at maturity.
